Get access to a developer account
If your organization already publishes iOS apps, ask its Account Holder to invite you to the existing App Store Connect team. You don’t need a second account just to view your team’s apps.
Starting from scratch? Use an Apple Account with two-factor authentication, then enroll as an individual or organization in the Apple Developer Program. Apple verifies your identity and any required organization details. Review the current membership terms and fees on Apple’s website.
Choose the app you manage
Sign in to App Store Connect and check that your app appears under Apps. If it’s missing, confirm you’re on the right team and ask the Account Holder to check your app permissions.
Back on dailydownloads, choose iOS · App Store, search for your public app, and select it. You can also search using its numeric App Store ID or its public App Store link.
Enable App Store Connect API access
The Account Holder must request API access if it isn’t already enabled.
- Open Users and Access → Integrations.
- Select App Store Connect API.
- If shown, choose Request Access, review Apple’s terms, and submit the request yourself.
Apple reviews access requests. If access is already approved, continue to the next step.
Create a key for reporting
- An Account Holder or Admin opens Users and Access → Integrations → Team Keys.
- Choose Generate API Key (or +) and give it a recognizable name.
- For ongoing report downloading, select Sales and Reports. Initial analytics-report requests require Admin access separately.
- Generate the key and download its .p8 private key. Apple permits only one download; store it securely.
Request the download reports
An Admin uses Apple’s Analytics Reports API to request reports for your app. Choose an ONGOING request for recurring reports; a one-time snapshot is for available historical data.
Use the App Store Downloads Report and define the metric you want to track. Keep first-time downloads, redownloads, and device installations distinct.
Apple says the first ongoing reports normally arrive in about 24–48 hours, and a day’s data is considered complete two days after the reporting date. Reports arrive as compressed, tab-delimited files, potentially split into multiple segments.

Finish the report and email connection
Search and signup work today.
Automatic App Store Connect retrieval is not connected. The current backend imports prepared reports manually. Checking this guide’s boxes does not enable downloads or email delivery.
For the current version, the site operator converts authorized Apple reports into the supported import format, with ios as the platform and the numeric App Store ID. Use a consistently defined download metric; don’t invent an all-time total from a partial history.
The operator also configures a verified email sender, imports the reports, and schedules daily delivery. Subscribers confirm their email before receiving reports. Reports are sent only when data for their app is available.
For fully automatic service, an Apple report importer still needs to be connected securely on the server. Contact touch@leyora.in for setup coordination; don’t attach private keys to an email.
Need a hand?
I only have a normal Apple Account. Is that enough?
It lets you use Apple services, but it doesn’t give you another developer’s private reports. Enroll in the Developer Program or get invited to the team that owns your app.
I can’t see Integrations or Generate API Key.
Confirm your team and role. Ask the Account Holder or Admin to enable the appropriate access. Don’t create an unrestricted Admin key just to work around missing reporting permissions.
I selected an app. Why isn’t an email arriving?
Public app selection only saves your signup. Report access, import, sender configuration, confirmation, and scheduled delivery must all be ready.
Can I get download counts for any app?
You can search public apps, but private download reports require authorization from the developer team. Public App Store listings do not supply exact daily download counts.
